Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions in a wide range of industries around the world, has announced the opening of its first consumer goods testing laboratory for textiles, apparel and soft home furnishings, in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, Korea. The new 55,000-sq. ft. laboratory draws upon the expertise and resources of the company’s network of more than 1,000 laboratories and offices in more than 100 countries to bring together knowledge on all global regulations and trends related to textiles, apparel and home furnishings. The facility will provide services including fiber identification, feather and down testing, flammability, care label instruction, performance testing and eco-texile certification, as well as consultation and training.
