Why use fabric for your projects?

News | | By:

Nora Norby, president of Banner Creations Inc., Minneapolis, Minn., promotes fabric to prospective customers with a monthly newsletter called “Why Use Fabric Banners, Backdrops and Table Covers.”

“Fabric benefits include elegance, economy of shipping, ease of replacing signage, and a variety of texture and finish options,” she says. “Companies printing on vinyl soon realize the additional choices fabric provides to their banner business.”

Norby encourages customers to order fabric projects because:

  • Fabric costs less to ship than vinyl
  • Fabric has a soft hand, so projects feel good
  • Fabric moves, attracting customers’ attention
  • Fabric banners are washable, in most applications
  • Fabric table covers can be ironed, in most applications
  • Fabric banner sides don’t curl
  • Fabric banners can be folded, and still look good
  • Fabric banners have a long, attractive life
  • Great colors can be achieved on fabric
  • Fabric breaks down in landfills faster than PVC
  • Fabric provides options, from sheers to shiny flag fabrics to oxford cloths, and everything in between
  • Fabric offers more finishing options
  • Inks used to print on fabric are environmentally friendly, compared to solvent inks
  • Fabric looks classy and elegant, without spending big bucks
