Two companies with deep roots, long track-records and reputations for engineering will come together, as Fenner PLC, Yorkshire, England, announced acquisition of all outstanding company shares of privately held Prodesco Inc., Perkasie, Pa., U.S.A. Fenner’s expertise in reinforced-polymer engineering for conveyor belts, precision motion-control for computers and copiers, and sealing products will be complemented by Prodesco’s strength in engineered textile structures. Both Prodesco and its Secant Medical subsidiary will continue operating with current staff and leadership from existing facilities, and no employee reductions or facility consolidations are anticipated, according to Fenner officials. “We are pleased that both companies have a ‘family-like’ environment and an agile, entrepreneurial spirit,” says Steve Chadwick, Prodesco CEO.
