A custom project for a client’s 46-foot Sea Ray landed an Award of Excellence for Seafarer Canvas, Norwalk, Conn. The flybridge enclosure panels were made out of 60-gauge polycarbonate to achieve the desired smooth look, and were fused in using an adhesive that produced a finished interior around the glass edge with no visible stitches. Panel exteriors were made with black Sunbrella®, the interiors were tan Stamoid® and the tops Sunbrella® Supreme. The client wanted to keep the black canvas and still match the interior upholstery, which was accomplished by using different inner and outer fabric colors.
