Maureen Gray, vice president of International Trade for Polo Ralph Lauren, is the new chair of the U.S. Association of Importers of Textiles and Apparel, following March 15 elections. “I’m looking forward to positioning USA–ITA as a leader in promoting free and open trade in this uncertain political and global climate. We have some work to do to ensure that the Free Trade Agreements and preference programs are true 21st century agreements, but I’m confident that we have the expertise and support to accomplish our goals,” said Gray. USA-ITA is a trade group that represents apparel manufacturers, distributors, retailers, importers, shippers and customs brokers; member companies source apparel and other textile products globally.
