Workers at the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan have been risking their lives to contain radiation leaks and make repairs to the facility that was severely damaged in the March 11 earthquake. Radiation Shield Technologies (RST) responded to the crisis by sending more than 200 protective suits to Japan for the workers. The Demron™ Radiation Protection Suit is a full body garment complete with an integrated hood, heat-sealed seams, and seam seal tape for added protection. Demron not only protects against particle ionizing/nuclear radiation, such as beta and alpha, it also shields against X-ray and low-energy gamma emissions. Designed to allow for better heat dissipation, it provides the user with a cooler core environment and is nontoxic and lead-free.
