UL-STR, an independent provider of quality assurance (QA) testing, audit, inspection and responsible sourcing services for the consumer products industry, will present a textiles seminar, “China GB 18401—Implications for Selling into China,” on Sept. 19, 2012, at its U.K. laboratory in Reading. The textiles training course is part of an ongoing seminar series on the latest QA issues being offered at UL-STR’s U.K. offices.
The seminar will focus on GB 18401-2010: Mandatory Standard for Textiles and Apparel in China, which went into effect last month. Attendees will learn about the Chinese Textile Quality Supervision System, how to comply with GB 18401, classifications and definitions of national standards, and punishment measures for nonconforming products and manufacturers. Dr. Anne Bonhoff, Global Head of Chemistry at UL-STR, will lead the session.
The session runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2012, at a cost of £50 per person. Seating is limited, so early registration is recommended. To register, email QAenquiries@ul.com.
