Wine rack crafted from awning fabric

Awnings & Canopies, Projects | April 1, 2013 | By:

Artist Aaron Hunzinger, who is making a name for himself as a designer of custom lamps fabricated with Glen Raven Inc. Sunbrella® awning fabric scraps, recently introduced his newest piece: Il Vino Cremagliera (the wine rack). The CFL-illuminated creation holds five bottles and wine glasses, while providing a warm golden glow through and around integrated fabric panels. Hunzinger has also created a scale replica of Chicago’s Willis Tower (9 feet, 2 inches), an Ellismania 8 MVP Trophy lamp for a fighting event in Las Vegas, a Martini lamp, a Samurai lamp and a guitar lamp, to name some notables.

“I don’t do a lot of marketing for my lamps,” says Hunzinger, whose Ahdidit Lighting and Creations does most of its business online and through social media. “Instead I let my lamps market themselves. You all do my marketing for me by simply displaying my art in your homes and businesses.” Hunzinger recently exhibited at his first public art show, Chicago’s “One of a Kind Show and Sale,” one of 613 artists selected from around the country to display his work.
