Industry News | September 1, 2013 | By:

Three of the Precision Fabrics Group’s fabrics are used in therapeutic and protective applications, so the Greensboro, N.C., business selected OEKO-TEX Standard 100 to provide comprehensive textile product safety certification to ensure that they contain no chemicals harmful to human health. DermTherapy fabrics are used in therapeutic bedding for people with skin problems, Pristine fabrics encase bedding used by people with asthma and allergies, and Integrity fabrics are used in cleanroom protective apparel. All three will be certified after testing for more than 300 potentially harmful substances, such as heavy metals, carcinogenic dyes, pesticides and formaldehyde.
