Opening of office in Germany and first-time presence at K Fair highlight emphasis on Europe.
Techmer PM, Clinton, Tenn., a major producer of value-added colors and additives for the plastics and fiber industries, is increasing its focus on expansion opportunities in the European market as part of its long-term growth strategy. To capitalize on the growth potential in Europe, Techmer PM has opened an office in Cologne, Germany, and will be exhibiting at the K Fair in October 2013 for the first time.
As an exhibitor at K Fair 2013, Techmer PM will be highlighting its Techsurf® hydrophilic melt additive technology (formerly Irgasurf HL), acquired from BASF in 2010, in addition to its full line of masterbatch and compounds. “Europe is a mature plastics market. As such, European processors have technology and resources that create tremendous opportunities when introduced to our approach of solving problems via chemistry,” said David Turner, Techmer PM international sales manager. “We have been present in the European market for decades, somewhat on the outside looking in; however, our new sales office will allow us to better serve the needs of current customers while capitalizing on new growth opportunities.”
