Seaman Corp., Wooster, Ohio, has released a new corporate video presentation, “The Spirit of American Ingenuity,” outlining the company’s growth over the last 64 years to become a global leader in the development and production of high-performance industrial fabrics.
The 13-minute video was produced at Seaman manufacturing locations in Wooster, Ohio, and Bristol, Tenn., as well as various customer locations throughout the continental U.S., Alaska and the Pacific Rim. The company uses proprietary processes to produce FiberTite® roofing systems, XR® Technology geomembranes, Shelter-Rite® architectural fabrics and tarps, and other specialized fabrics and membranes used to fabricate dock seals, inflatable boats and military tents and fuel tanks.
“This video has actually been in production for over two years,” said Richard Seaman, chairman and CEO. “We’ve gone to great lengths to include examples of how our products have been successfully used along with comments from many longtime customers, consultants, architects, contractors and others who have used them.”
The video also traces the history of the company, founded in the kitchen of Richard Seaman’s family home in Ohio by his late father, Norman, and his mother, Irene. Committed to providing consistent, reliable quality, the presentation tracks the sacrifices and the successes derived from an insistence on meeting and even exceeding customer expectations.
“We also think our customers and allied businesses will be interested in our efforts to develop new products for new applications,” said Seaman. “We use a vertical approach involving knitting and weaving our own strong base fabric and our unique coating formulas and techniques to make sure every product lives up to our performance reputation. As a result, we have roofs that have held up for over 30 years, geomembrane products that have successfully contained hazardous materials for indefinite periods and pillow tanks and tents that have withstood the rigors of military life in Afghanistan and Iraq.”
