Aurora opens new factory

Industry News, News | July 2, 2015 | By:

Textile processing company Aurora Specialty Textiles Group Inc. (ASTG), Aurora, Ill., opened a new 124,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Yorkville, Ill., on April 28, 2015.

The company’s chemistry, coating and fabric suppliers were invited to a tour of the building, home to Aurora’s new, fully-automated EHWHA ultra-wide width coating and finishing line, which works easily with a range of woven and nonwoven materials up to 134 inches wide.

Although production began in April, some sections of the factory are still under construction. Final upgrades and equipment installations are expected to be complete by fall 2015, when ASTG will hold a grand opening celebration and open house. By the end of 2015, the new factory will consolidate all of ASTG’s operations under one roof.
