Pella recognizes ‘premier supply partner’ Phifer

Door and window manufacturer Pella Corp., Pella, Iowa, wanted to focus attention on partner suppliers that help make Pella products successful. Two years after asking Pella managers to nominate their best suppliers, the window and door giant announced its first Premier Supply Partner Award to Phifer Inc., Tuscaloosa, Ala., manufacturer of aluminum and fiberglass screens.

Pella looked at nominated suppliers’ product quality, business practices and lean production procedures before selecting Phifer for its first Premier Supply Partner Award. “PHIFER has been a trusted supplier of Pella for more than 40 years of our 90-year history,” says Kraig Koehler, director of supply chains for Pella.
