Pfeifer Group acquires FabriTec Structures and Guard-All Building Solutions

ASU SkysSongPFEIFER Seil- und Hebetechnik GmbH, with its business unit, Cable Structures, has acquired an ownership interest in FabriTec Structures and its sister company, Guard-All Building Solutions, who provide wide-span, frame-supported, fabric buildings. The new team will have offices in Canada, United States, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Poland, Qatar, Singapore and China.

In July 2015, German-based Pfeifer acquired Shanghai-based Covertex, and in March 2016 it acquired an Austrian-based company specialized in control systems for retractable and movable lightweight structures. With the acquisition of FabriTec and Guard-All, Pfeifer Group has the capability to manufacture cables, stainless steel hardware, steel fabrication, retractable/movable systems, and ETFE, PTFE and PVC membrane fabrication on a large scale.

Basil Haymann will remain the chairman of FabriTec, with Garry Becker as president. Dot Haymann will remain the chairman of Guard-All, with Peter Bielefeld as president.

The North American head office will remain in Dallas, Texas, with satellite offices in Buffalo, N.Y., Tustin, Calif., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and a presence servicing Latin and South America in Guadalajara, Mexico.
