DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products are celebrating over 100 years of innovation in synthetic leathers. In 1910, one of DuPont’s first products outside its original core business was Fabrikoid, a coated fabric marketed as artificial leather. Now a century later, DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products is showcasing high performing bio-based synthetic leather coatings.
At the 2016 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, they will demonstrate the versatility of using Susterra® propanediol as a building block for polyurethane applications from synthetic leather and fabric coatings to cast parts and elastomers. DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio products is a joint venture between DuPont, a global science company, and Tate & Lyle, a world-leading renewable food and industrial ingredients company.
