Commerce Dept. to discuss textile industry assessment findings in October 18 Webinar

In 2016, the U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) undertook its first comprehensive survey and assessment of the health and competitiveness of the U.S. textile, apparel, and footwear industry since 2003.  The BIS team is now prepared to share preliminary findings of this critically important study that will be unveiled later this year.  Topics to be covered include employment, production, competitors and customers, supply chain, financial information, research and development, effectiveness of the Berry Amendment, and future industrial challenges.
