American & Efird (A&E) has introduced Magic^® using REPREVE^®, a recycled, air-entangled, polyester sewing thread that provides a premium, high-performance eco-alternative to other threads. Incorporating Unifi’s REPREVE^® fiber made from recycled plastic bottles, the thread is flat and ribbon-like, which creates a lower profile seam that reduces the potential for surface abrasion. The thread is engineered to provide excellent performance on manual and automatic multi-directional sewing machines, including high-speed machines, for a variety of apparel applications.
