Kelheim Fibres, a German producer of viscose specialty fibers, received the Lighthouse Award from the Environmental Cluster of Bavaria for its moist toilet tissue made with VILOFT. The 100-percent cellulose wet toilet tissue disintegrates rapidly in a sewage system. It features short-cut fibers and a special cross section design that makes it completely biodegradable and safe for waste water systems and the environment. The Lighthouse award is presented annually to outstanding projects in the field of environmental technology that have been implemented and are commercially viable.
