Stat-Safe® Static Dissipative Film

Polymer sheet is designed for maximum control of static electricity. Made of high-quality PVC with a proven ESD additive that prevents charge generation and dissipates charge to ground. Stat-Safe prevents electrostatic discharges and controls particulate attraction. ESD performance is permanent, and unaffected by humidity.

Treadway™ Traction & Grip surfaces

Designed to be used as a traffic-bearing walkway, the Treadway surface provides exceptional skid resistance, and the low profile does not disrupt water run-off. Used in applications such as geomembrane liners, secondary containment, reservoir liners, floating covers and canal liners, it’s available in special widths and roll lengths, as well as custom thickness and color.

XTRM PLY™ geomembranes

Combinations of various polymers, fabrics and widths provides needed versatility for applications like surface impoundment liners for coal ash or liners for reservoirs, canals or tunnels, as well as floating covers and below-grade waterproofing, or as a roof barrier for green roof applications. XTRM PLY products are available as sheeting (1-ply) or reinforced membranes (3-ply), engineered to provide durable resistance to tears, extreme heat and UV exposure.

XTRM PLY® Industrial Rack Tape

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) Industrial Rack Tape offers exceptional abrasion resistance, with a low coefficient of friction. The smooth surface of the 3-inch wide tape provides safe and easy placement and removal of materials on warehouse racks and shelves, reducing product damage.

TPU-coated textiles

UV-resistant TPU-coated textiles stand up to extreme weather and environmental conditions, and resist abrasions and punctures. Combined with glued or welded seals, the fabrics offer excellent air- and water-holding capabilities for bladder-type applications. Primary markets include: inflatable watercraft and flotation devices; medical applications such as inflatable mattresses, splints and lifts; storage tanks and bags for water and other liquids or fuels; and environmental uses such as oil booms, barriers/berms and flood and spill protection.

PremoBond polyester thread

Introducing PremoBond, a bonded polyester designed for the application of long-lasting seams in vinyl, canvas and carpets. Strong, UV-resistant, anti-wicking marine-grade sewing thread is bleed-resistant and needle heat-resistant, even when sewing at higher speeds with heavier materials. Specially formulated for use in a variety of outdoor products in the marine, awning, tarp and furniture markets, as well as military applications.

Sewing machine needles

High standards of quality and ongoing innovation characterize the line of sewing and shoe machine needles, backed by a wide selection of services. The SAN® 5.2 was developed especially for the processing of technical textiles, such as for airbags, car seats, upholstery, awnings or sails. Offering increased needle stability, optimized loop pick-up, uniform seam appearance, it permits the use of thicker sewing threads without changing the needle size, for greater productivity.

PVC-coated fabrics

With markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and North America, specializing in supplying quality custom materials at competitive prices, the company’s fabrics are widely used in truck covers, storage and outdoor products. Backlit, frontlit and blockout fabrics are also available for use in signage, billboards and banners.

PVC inflatable drop-stitch fabric

PVC inflatable drop-stitch fabric offers high tensile and tear strength, excellent stability, self-cleaning properties and resistance to UV radiation and cold. Applications include mats for all levels of tumbling competitions and training exercises, gymnastic exercise and high-performance training in gyms.

PVC tarpaulin fabric

Offering excellent durability and high tensile/tear strength, the 18-oz. PVC tarpaulin fabric is used for applications such as tent, truck and trailer covers, inflatables and mattresses. Material can be customized to offer UV resistance, anti-mildew properties, fire retardancy and heavy-metal-free upon request.

Weather-Chek™ textile composite

Unique architectural shade textile composite is digitally printable and features a RainKleen® textured surface; it incorporates specially engineered flexible polymer technology with a high-performance polyester substrate. Strong and pliable, fire- and mildew-resistant, it resists scratching and offers a pleasing textured surface for use in shade structures, shelters, patio covers, privacy screens, curtains and in-home decorative ceilings, awnings and drapes. Offered in 12 designer colors, with a 10-year warranty.

SuperFabric®

SuperFabric® is an abrasion-resistant material that can be bonded to a variety of base fabrics. HDM has partnered with Flextech Inc. to create a unique combination of materials, using Flextech’s compression molding process and SuperFabric, to provide customers with highly durable solutions for markets like industrial products, apparel, medical products, footwear and bags/packs.

Cordura® solution-dyed fabrics

Made in the U.S., Berry-compliant, Cordura® Solution-Dyed Nylon offers built-in colorfastness and lot-to-lot color uniformity, and complies with U.S. military spec NIR (Near Infrared) requirements. After accelerated UV exposure testing, has proven to fade significantly less in sunlight than comparable weight/construction piece-dyed fabrics. Material helps disguise soldiers in combat in both visible and NIR/nighttime operations, and requires less water and energy and produces fewer CO2 emissions compared to comparable-weight piece-dyed fabrics.

EU PPE regulation compliance

New European Union regulations on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) apply to gear for workers in fire and public protection, trade, crafts and laboratories, and have now expanded to private use. PPE requires a CE certification label in the EU. Hohenstein is an accredited and notified body for this regulation, and helps customers test and certify that their PPE meets current EU standards.

IFR warp-knit polyester

Designed for use on drapes, backdrops, theater curtains, stages, stadiums, in film and video industries, for events and displays. Flame-retardant warp-knit polyester IFR Premier is available 125/126 inches wide in custom colors, rolled on tubes and then polybagged for shipping.

IFR woven poly velvet velour

100 percent polyester inherently flame-retardant warp-knit velvet velour is used for theatrical backdrops and theater curtains, and draperies on stages and in stadiums. Available 60/61 inches wide in custom colors.

Silicone rubber-coated polyester

100 percent polyester fabric, silicone rubber-coated with low adhesion, is high-strength, water-repellent and corrosion-resistant. Used as temporary low adhesion tapes on wood floors in residential and commercial applications, gym floors for temporary court marking, and other applications.

Breathable PU-coated polyester

100 percent polyester 190T taffeta is polyurethane coated, offering a breathable solution for patient slings and other hospital products requiring water vapor transmission. Colors available: green, blue, ivory and customized, 58/60 inches wide.

High arm walking foot sewing machine

The SK-Typical GC20606-1HL18 single needle 18-inch long extra high arm walking foot sewing machine, with large vertical hook and reverse, features a 6-inch underarm height clearance, which is about 2 inches higher than a conventional sewing machine. Works well for sewing bulky items such as cushions and covers and is available complete with servo motor stand.

Pool safety cover fabric

TC-Cover strong, lightweight 100 percent polypropylene mesh swimming pool safety covers can prevent drowning and save the lives of pets, children and vulnerable adults. Low voltage welding

The SEAMTEK W-900 AT has an innovative low voltage wedge technology with an intuitive user interface to improve the welding experience. Welds precise seams, even on curves, and uses up to 10 times less energy than comparable machines. Safe and simple, the wedge heats up and cools nearly instantaneously. Applications include tents, tarps, banners, signs, pool liners and other products.

Quick-release fasteners

Loxx fasteners are strong and reliable self-locking, quick-release fasteners that detach when the user pulls on the upper head (no more pulling on fabric). Installation is fast and easy: just punch a hole and then screw on the mating washer (no metal to bend as with snaps). An innovative alternative to traditional snaps for many markets including marine, tent, awning, covers and tarps.

Commercial 1000D CORDURA® nylon

Berry Amendment-compliant fabric is urethane coated with a water-repellent finish. Solution-dyed fabric is durable, colorfast and has excellent resistance to fading, abrasion, rot and mildew. It can be used for heavy-duty commercial applications including outdoor/hunting gear, luggage, book bags, duffel bags, pet beds, and horse blankets, among other products.

Stock mil-spec solution-dyed webbing

Stock solution-dyed mil-spec webbing is available in many widths and mil-specs. It is offered in the four most popular military/tactical colors: Black, Coyote Brown, Wolf Gray, and Ranger Green. The primary market for this product is military/tactical. It can be used in tactical vests, bookbags/duffels, and a variety of end uses.

Wolf Gray nylon fabric, webbing and binding tape

The mil-spec solution-dyed Wolf Gray 500/1000D CORDURA® product line is designed to blend in with the urban environment. This color is popular with the DEA, FBI, SWAT teams and other law enforcement agencies. It is also popular in the tactical and outdoor gear world. Wolf Gray blends in well with wet concrete, reflective glass and steel, and is adaptive to a variety of lighting conditions.

Recycled polyester

Recycled polyester webs are used in many markets including straps, cases, bags, pet products and garment belts. Available in natural yarn and other sustainable fibers to weave into webbing, such as bamboo and jute, as well as natural and organic cottons. The recycling process turns plastic bottles into a soft and durable fabric that is hypo-allergenic, antimicrobial and eco-friendly.
