Textile executives have roundtable with Congressman Tom Rice

Congressman Tom Rice, member of the House Ways & Means Trade Subcommittee, participated in a roundtable with textile executives on Aug. 21, 2019. They discussed the competitiveness of the domestic industry, outlined priority issues and explored ways to push for passage of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

Milliken & Company, Spartanburg, S.C, hosted the event. Both Jeff Price, EVP of Milliken Operations, and Leib Oehmig, Chairman of the National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO) and CEO of Glen Raven, stated that passing the USMCA will make important updates to the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that benefit the textile industry and enhance trade.
