Propper International Inc., St. Charles, Miss., requested $13 million worth of TenCate Defender™ M fabric from TenCate Defense & Tactical, a division of TenCate Protective Fabrics Inc., Union City, Ga.. The fabric, which received commendations of appreciation from the U.S. Army and U.S. Marines in 2008, will be used for the manufacture of combat uniforms for the U.S. Marine Corp’s Flame Resistant Organizational Gear (FROG) program. Materials needed to fill the order will be produced throughout 2009 and into early 2010. The work will give a welcome boost to the U.S. textile industry and its more than 10,000 employees.
