DNV GL and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) have launched a new self-assessment tool to help the textile industry manage water consumption. It assists textile companies in evaluating the water footprint in manufacturing processes, helping to make more informed decisions about how to manage water consumption in supply chains. The Global Network for Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production, supporting organizations in more than 60 developing countries, will facilitate the use of the tool (which targets mostly small and medium-sized companies) and guide companies on its use and interpretation of results.
