Bermuda shorts with an added layer of cool

Traditionally worn three inches above the knee, Bermuda shorts are quintessential dress on their home island, commonly worn with sport coats for business attire as well as with polo shirts for casual occasions. Coral Coast Clothing has introduced a new line of Bermuda Performance Shorts with the added advantage of cooling technology. The company partnered with brrr°, an Atlanta, Ga.-based innovator of cooling performance fabric. Called the Triple Chill Effect™, the technology features natural cooling minerals that draw heat away from the skin, as moisture is absorbed away from the body with an active wicking technique. The textile also dries quickly, enhance the cooling effect. Testing in a simulated environment, skin temperature was reduced by almost 3°F over 20 minutes of normal wear.
