Adaptive, a new textile effect from HeiQ, allows fabrics to effectively read and respond to the wearer’s body temperature and moisture levels, offering dynamic moisture control and thermoregulation for greater wearer comfort. The technology is based on a unique hydrofunctional polymer with moisture transport properties that change in response to temperature. Adaptive transports and releases moisture at higher temperatures, keeping skin cooler and dryer; at lower temperatures, the fabric absorbs moisture but the wicking effect is reduced, resulting in increased insulation. Recommended for sportswear, underwear, socks and hosiery, as well as towels and bed linens.
