The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) honored Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills Inc., Garfield, N.J., with its 2008 Earth-Minded Award at the Hospitality and Design Show in Las Vegas in May. Wearbest’s Bella-Dura™ performance fabrics are tough to wear out (minimum 50,000 double rubs), but easy to recycle through a reclamation program established by the company. Wearbest president and CEO Irwin Gasner says the award “validates our goal of producing an incredibly beautiful, durable performance fabric with a recycling and an operating reclamation program.”
