Every cabinet becomes unique, based on what you put in it.
Dutch designer Dewi van de Klomp has fashioned a collection of storage cabinets made exclusively from foam rubber. Narrow slits or larger openings cut into the foam create space for whatever the owner would like to store. As the cabinet fills up, it may take on a new shape, too.
The Soft Cabinet Green moves sideways or to the right or left, depending on how much you put in it. The Soft Cabinet High has long weak legs, but is strong enough to stay straight up. Delicate cups or small books will be protected in its narrow openings. The Soft Cabinet Small is the smallest in the collection, but it still handles an ample stack of tableware.
The Soft Cabinet Classic looks like a regular cabinet but also takes on a “new look” as it gets older … and older … and older.
