Structures house garages and hospitality suites at street race

HTS Hocker was invited to design, manufacture and install a set of demountable structures located in the main pit lane area for the Super GP street racing event in Brisbane, Australia. The client requested a set of world-class and aesthetically pleasing temporary shade structures and garages. The design requirements included the ability to install and remove the structures in a short time to minimize the impact on local traffic—and the company had to meet Australia’s strict building codes for the beachfront location. The completed buildings provided team garages on the ground floor, with shade cover for the corporate hospitality suites on the second and third floors. When not in use for this event, the structures can be reconfigured for other needs. HTS Hocker won a 2010 IAA Outstanding Achievement Award for the project.
