Economy Tent honored by manufacturers

The South Florida Manufacturers Association selects 50 businesses each year that provide positive economic, employee and community benefits to the region and, after selecting five finalists, presents a Manufacturer of the Year award. Economy Tent Intl., Miami, Fla., one of the largest manufacturers of frame tents in the U.S., was first runner-up for the 2010 honor. Judges interviewed candidates for the award and conducted in-depth onsite inspections and interviews with the five finalists. Criteria included company leadership, strategic planning, workforce focus, process management, customer focus and knowledge management.
