N.C. Manufacturer of the Year: Glen Raven

McGladrey LLP (a tax-consulting service), Fifth Third Bank and the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce honored small, medium and large businesses that have contributed to a strong manufacturing climate in the state. Glen Raven Inc., Burlington, N.C., has been a linchpin of manufacturing in the region, and recently was named North Carolina Manufacturer of the Year 2012 in the large business category. While best known for its Sunbrella® fabric line, Glen Raven also provides fabric solutions for the automotive, military, construction, mining, protective apparel and water filtration industries. Nominations are submitted online and judged by a panel of business leaders in North Carolina, who select winners based on company growth, jobs creation and innovation.
