‘Perfect Engine’ award to lean Seaman

The TBM Consulting Group, a global operation improvement consultant, recognized Seaman Corp., Wooster, Ohio, for its commitment to LeanSigma® statistics-based quality and efficiency improvement with its 2012 “Perfect Engine” award. TBM’s founder and CEO, Anand Sharma, wrote a book titled The Perfect Engine about his efforts to implement lean business systems in companies worldwide. Seaman produces industrial fabrics for high-performance FiberTite® roof systems, XR® technology geomembranes, Shelter-Rite® truck tarps and architectural structures. “Seaman [has] embraced change, unleashed creativity and relentlessly supported the spirit of continuous improvement,” says Sharma.
