The installation, an art-filled forest at the Rothbury music festivals in Rothbury, Mich., was so popular that the event was rebranded the Electric Forest Festival. Guildworks in Portland, Ore. helped create the installations using 10,000 square feet of two-way stretch fabric. Although unique because of the setting, it was also complex. The pieces had to attach to the trees for support and be visually striking individually. The forest offered many opportunities for anchor points to tension to, but the tight spacing devoid of any strong branches made it difficult to get to them.
