Serge Ferrari Group, Pompano Beach, Fla., has acquired Plastitex, an Italian manufacturer of specialty composite materials for indoor and outdoor furniture. The acquisition adds complementary product lines and technical knowledge to the Serge Ferrari brand. Besides its expertise in new product design, Plastitex will provide extra capacity and additional manufacturing flexibility. Serge Ferrari Americas can now offer a
textile customization service that will enable customers to create unique and exclusive color combinations, weave patterns and designs. Plastitex serves a large number of prestigious brands including Kettal, B&B, Moroso, Unopiù and Emu. The company will continue to sell its colorful and elastic textiles under the Plastitex name.
