At night, breathing rate and heart rate are measured by unobtrusive sensors hidden in the patient’s own bed. During the day, the patient wears a vest containing woven-in electrodes. Communication is wireless with a PDA that collects and analyzes the data and sends it automatically to the healthcare provider.
