Invista to demonstrate Lycra® Sport

Invista will demonstrate its line of active wear, Lycra® at a press breakfast July 22 at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market trade show. The demonstration will also include a history of the development and testing of Lycra® Sport. The breakfast will begin at 8:45 a.m. at the Invista booth (#39037).
Companies form new raw material supply agreement

3M company Dyneon LLC has formed an agreement with China-based Shandong Dongyue Polymer Material Co. Ltd., a producer of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The agreement pertains to the raw material supply of suspension PTFE intermediate. Both companies seek to expand their presence in the PTFE market through the agreement.

DuPont™ releases Sorona® fiber for commercial use

Sorona®, a renewable fiber made partially with agricultural feedstock, has been released by DuPont™ for use in the commercial carpet industry. The eco-friendly polymer meets LEED requirements in three categories, and is 37 percent renewably sourced by weight. Sorona is also resistant to staining and fading.
